I think the negative comments are due to people not oiling their machine. If this machine is properly oiled, it works beautifully. When I first got it and started using it, I didn't like it at all. Then I realized I never oiled it and once I did, this machine went from a 0 to 10!! Oil your machine!! This basic machine does all you need and more. There are several stitches to choose from and has never let me down!
Date published: 2015-06-01

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nana from Great Basic Machine Not just for beginners! I bought this machine three years ago for its lack of computerized functions. I have sewn delicate items as well as made overnight bags from canvas. I often sew with heavy fabrics that require multiple layers and this machine has never failed me. This machine is everything I wanted it to be. Absolutely nothing I have not been able to sew. If you do not need embroidery functions, you will be happy
Date published: 2013-01-28

Rated 4 out of 5 by Soleil from Good Starter Machine I bought this machine because I was new to sewing and it was on sale at the time. I have never had any issues with it that I didn't cause myself (improper tension, wrong needle for the fabric types, etc.) I've had it for a little over a year now and it has never broken once. I have sewed costumes, fairly thick totes, as well as repairing a cowboy boot strap with it. Nothing has gone wrong with any of my projects that were caused by the machine. This is a great machine for a beginner and it's very simple to use.
Date published: 2014-02-16

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nancy from Pretty good This machine is very finicky, but it works. I know how to thread a sewing machine, but this little guy requires constant re-threading due to the thread falling off of the lever. Not sure how it happens, but making sure the needle is completely up prevents this issue, it seems. I had constant tangles in my work due to this tiny issue, but threading it properly prevents it, so I'm not complaining. Aside from that, I haven't run into any other problems. This machine is quite the beast, and I really like it, especially for its price. I would recommend it to someone who is more of an experienced sewer who wants something cheap, rather than a beginner. I think a beginner would have too many problems with how finicky this machine is.
Date published: 2013-05-06

Rated 4 out of 5 by Beth from Great Machine I bought this machine 2 years ago to teach my daughter how to sew. It works great for all of my projects. It is very easy to use, and is very reliable. I would reccomend it to anyone who needs a good basic machine.
Date published: 2012-12-26

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ange from Great for Beginners! I received my Singer for Christmas last year and I love it! I have never used a sewing machine before, let alone set one up. I was so happy I was able to fill my bobbin for the first time and was very proud after my first skirt was made. The instructions could be a little more detailed, but I was able to understand them in the end. I look forward to making more projects!Love it and would definitely recommend it!
Date published: 2014-02-03

Rated 5 out of 5 by huckh2o from Great entry level machine I bought this as my first sewing machine. My mom taught me how to sew on her old (super heavy) singer. This machine is inexpensive and had all the same basic controls so I thought it would be a great starting point. I work at a sewing factory (we make outdoor gear) with industrial machines but I like to design and work at home after being at the factory all day. This machine is really light compared to my moms old machine...so it feels kind of cheap. Don't let that fool you though. This machine can handle some serious abuse. I've sewn all sorts of material with this machine and it seems like it can take anything I can dish out. I've used this machine to sew 3-Layer waterproof fabric, Softshell, neoprene, kevlar reinforced fabric, webbing, and even joining webbing to 1/8 pvc plastic. I've basically abused this machine and it still works great. I really only use the straight stitch, zig-zag, and 3 step zig-zag for what its worth. My only complaint is that because its so light that it shakes forward and back on the table when you have the pedal pressed to the floor sewing at high speed.
Date published: 2015-04-13

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lisa from Great Starter Machine! I am pretty crafty, but I had not yet purchased a sewing machine to take things to the next level. Boy, am I glad I did. This machine takes care of little things around the house hemming, repairs, etc. but also a variety of more complicated sewing adventures. I made a Spartan costume for a party right out of the gate! I can't see myself outgrowing this gem anytime soon because of the variety of stitches and reliable metal parts. This machine does Singer proud!
Date published: 2012-08-20

Singer 3232 Simple Sewing Machine Reviews - page 2

y_2019, m_10, d_2, h_23

bvseo_bulk, prod_bvrr, vn_bulk_2.0.13

cp_1, bvpage1

co_hasreviews, tv_2, tr_69

loc_en_US, sid_11686375, prod, sort_[SortEntry(order=RELEVANCE, direction=DESCENDING)]

clientName_joann

bvseo_sdk, dw_cartridge, 18.2.0, p_sdk_3.2.0

CLOUD, getReviews, 73ms

reviews, product
